2012 Flagstaff Fire Threatens Table Mesa in South Boulder

Watching the fire come over the ridge early this evening as the wind started to kick up, I felt my first hint of worry that "maybe" this could turn into something.  Once evening rolled around, and a little rain cooled things off, my husband Joe and I wandered up to the Fairview High School Parking lot to join several Table Mesa neighbors, emergency workers and news people.

The view was nothing short of breathtaking:

Thanks for scaring people away from our neighborhood

I am sorry you feel that way. Table Mesa is an amazing place to live and play. Anyone with Internet or Television access has most likely seen the news about the fires in CO, including the Flagstaff fire. Now, nearly a week after this post, I am sure that anyone following the fire would know that the fire is 70% + contained. Nature happens, no matter where you live. I think that it is a tribute to our firefighters that they kept this one so well controled :) Ironically, there are still buyers out there that are knocking down the door to buy in this fabulous neighborhood - espeically in the $400,000 to $600,000 price rance :)
